All RWs Are Targeted to Have Waste Bank Next Year

Jakarta Provincial Government is targeted all RWs to have waste bank in 2018. This is done in realizing Governor instruction No. 157/2016.
Recently, there are just 500 locations from all RWs, government offices, and schools that having waste bank.
Jakarta Environment Dept. Deputy Head, Ali Maulana Hakim said, from all RWs, government offices, and schools, there are just 500 locations that have waste bank until the middle of 2017.
"Recently, there are just 500 locations from all RWs, government offices, and schools that having waste bank. Thus, we will encourage each RW to develop it," he said, Wednesday (6/21).
City Urges Each School to Own Waste BankHe added, the slow development of waste bank is also caused by trash which has minimal economical value. It is just half of 500 waste banks are capable to operate optimally and obtain proportional economical value.
He admitted will apply main waste bank system in each regions in the future. Later on, main waste bank will coordinate the selling and able to anticipate cheating in price by merchant.
Besides, he will be intensively conducting waste management training to produce valued product. Moreover, it is also possible to produce it into various handicrafts such as Betawi ornament.
"We also hope Industry Dept. and Small Medium Enterprise Cooperation and Trade Dept. could give training, considered our target is to make all RWs have waste bank in 2018," he closed.
